Dedicated to cinema and short films, the event aims to promote independent filmmaking by encouraging creative exchange and networking among directors and authors, with a special focus on raising environmental awareness, social change, human rights, and societal transformations, as well as offering new visions to address the world’s growing complexity. In a historical moment where environmental, social, and economic emergencies are increasingly urgent, the festival strives to be an important space for reflection and action through cinema and art—particularly on environmental and anthropological themes, the relationship between humanity and the environment, civil rights, integration, and conflicts. Through the festival space, awareness of these vital issues is fostered among a broad audience, giving a voice to female and male filmmakers who find cinema to be a medium for expression and freedom. The films showcased explore untold stories, amplify voices on the margins, and encourage us to reflect with hope and poetry. They present a cinema that also highlights the abundant beauty surrounding us, prompting us to consider multiple perspectives and discover answers to the questions and challenges of our time—shorts that offer viewpoints not always easily accessible elsewhere, carrying a sense of urgency and immediacy. The event will feature two screening evenings showcasing the finalist short films, concluding with the awards ceremony for the winning directors. The best shorts submitted to the festival will be presented, screened, and awarded over the course of the two nights. The Festival will take place in the splendid setting of the “Caterina Dallara Foundation” at the Parco dei Melograni in Varano De’ Melegari (PR).
