A museum out of the ordinary. Unconventional. Timeless. Ancient, archaic, and highly modern. Of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. A space of memory that tells the story of us, of what we have been, of our daily lives—even the most intimate parts—yet it remains alive and pulsing, capable of offering insights into what we could become tomorrow.
A guardian of civilization. This is the only way to describe the extraordinary collection of the Ettore Guatelli Museum: 60,000 everyday objects that altogether, like a chorus, seamlessly cover and “fresco” the walls of rooms once used for farming. You can admire them one by one, understanding their use, craftsmanship, and origin, imagining the lives of the women and men who used them. Or you can choose to be moved by the ensemble, by the “whole”: the unique work of a man who, with a “stubborn and contrary” passion, sought them out, desired them, understood them, and displayed them artistically to show everyone their beauty and let their stories be heard.
For visitors and guests of the Salone del Camper, the Guatelli Museum offers a reduced admission ticket of €6, which includes a guided tour.
